A coworker and good friend’s brother passed away. Many people asked for time off to attend his funeral. Our general manager thought it was appropriate that she attend as well even though she barely knew the deceased.
She also thought it appropriate that all of her employees in attendance sit in a group to present a ‘united front’. Against what? Death. She actually attempted to enforce this!
Had it not been such a solemn occasion I would have laughed right in her face. Who the fuck does she think she is?
