Stupid Bosses

I used to work in an off-license, not the most demanding of jobs i’ll grant you. we were poorly paid, and even full time staff were put on 39 hour contracts to save the company from paying us all that extra stuff like pensions, health and medical expenses.

Anyway, they always had these odd bonus schemes, most of them weren’t obtainable as they would set a target, put the item on promotion, and expect you to sell 6 times the usual amount to get close to the bonus system.

before that though they had a system where you got points based on the amount of stuff that you sold as an individual. and after a while you could select something in exchange from a catalogue. you would have thought that we would have known about it, you know from the monthly statements that we recieved at the shop.

we’ll in the end the changed the system and everyone was going to use there points until they were told that the boss had used them all and brought her sister a really nice stereo system with our points. that’s nice, what did we get???? yep nothing.”

I was consulting with my supervisor regarding an error in our printed information that goes out to all of our membership. It was a pricing error – the company that prints our handbook was responsible for this error. I had proof that we did not change things on our end.

While I was trying to explain to my lovely supervisor why I thought we should NOT charge people more than what was printed – though it was a financial isuse – it would effect budget – I was SCOLDED (IN FRONT OF COLLEAGUES – AGAIN) like a 6 year old child. She has reprimanded me before – as if I’m her daughter and I’m out of line – in front of my Professional Cohorts.

Next time – I’m outta here!!! Why does she think it’s acceptable to degrage her subordinates and treat us as though we’re “naughty children?”

She is STUPID!!!!!!!!!!

FBI agents in Jacksonville, Florida, arrested brothers Robert, 54, and Kenneth, 49, Alberton, accusing them of talking dentist John Rende into letting them chop off his finger with an ax so they could claim it was an accident and collect a fortune in insurance money. Rende at first agreed to the scheme, then changed his mind. The Albertons forcibly cut off his right index finger anyway. Unable to continue practicing dentistry, Rende collected $1.3 million. He paid the brothers $45,000. Later, they tried to extort $500,000, so he notified the FBI.

A bicyclist who confronted three well-dressed men walking to their hotel in Alexandria, Virginia, pointed what looked like a 9mm semi-automatic handgun at them and demanded money. The three men turned out to be off-duty federal agents, who drew their own weapons and fired more than 20 shots, hitting the would-be robber, as well as three cars, a truck, two homes and an office building. The injured suspect’s weapon turned out to be a pellet gun.
